IGS are proud to announce the fourth Michael Redmond Cup Tournament. This
Goe tournament is open to players under eighteen years old, who are living
in North America. There are two divisions in the tournament; Junior (under

is a round robin played on the Internet Go Server ( IGS League), the second
part is the championship play-off. The top two places in each division of
the IGS league meet face to face to play a three game match.
The championship games will be played either at the American Ing Center
in Menlo Park, CA or at the 1996 US Go Congress. The Michael Redmond Cup
Tournament will pay all travel expenses for the players and awards $1,000.00

determines the players who will represent the United States in the 14th
World Youth Goe Championship. Players in the world youth tournament must
meet the age requirement and be a US citizen. All young players are encourged
to join the IGS League, regardless of their goe level. If there are enough
